Disney Social Media Moms Celebration, On the Road!

Over the past 6 months I’ve taken the plunge into the world of blogging.  I am clearly a novice; but that is okay.  We all have to start somewhere, right?
I feel like I’ve grown up as technology has emerged.  In high school computers were introduced.  In college the wide world web was born.  I remember seeing an ad, I think it was for Nike, and there was a website listed and I thought, one day websites will be a norm.  It was in college that car phones, and then cell phones hit the market.
The thing is, I have been there as it was developing.  But now, there is just SO MUCH, that I feel like I can’t wrap my mind around it all.  We have Facebook and Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram, YouTube, Vimeo, Vine, Tumblr.  I feel like I have my big toe dipped into some of these, but I don’t fully understand it all.
In order to expand my knowledge and grow as a blogger, I applied to the Disney Social Media Moms, On the Road Celebration.  There are three being held this year in Chicago, Phoenix and Philadelphia.  I was THRILLED to be chosen to attend the conference in Philly!
There are four fabulous speakers lined up to impart their wisdom; Amy Bradley, Jen Groover, Alicia Overby, and Debi Sibler.
My hope is to understand how to differentiate from the thousands of other blogs out there written by moms who need an outlet.  But, I know that if I want to be successful, I need to have an authentic voice.  Maybe this conference will give me the courage to finally let go, have fun and just be me.
I can’t wait to share my journey and pass along the wisdom that is imparted.  This is going to be one fantastic experience.
