There is a hidden gem, located along Green Valley Lane, over in Mount Crawford. Housed in two nondescript buildings, the Green Valley Book Fair is a must-do for any reading enthusiast. Filled with thousands of discounted books, the Book Fair is a great way to build your library without breaking the bank.
My boys love books. I love books. My husband loves audio books (he spends a lot of time in the car). My oldest is a self-proclaimed “scientist kid”. Each time the fair is open, he makes a beeline to his favorite section–the kids science books. We are building quite a collection of National Geographic Kids books. I like to pick up murder mysteries and I usually grab at least one audio book for Matt.
The Green Valley Book Fair is a short 5 minute drive, off exit 240, on Interstate 81.
- Open now-May 31, from 10am-5pm (6pm on Friday and Saturday)
- 2015 Schedule: June 27-July 9, August 15-September 7, October 3-25, November 27-December 16
- An inventory of 500,000 books featuring over 30,000 different titles
